3. Pattern Recognition & applications: (one hour)

Operating: Shortening waitlists for passengers(optimizing train profile), analyzing the detentions for goods trains.
Signaling: Analyzing data logger data to prevent S & T failures, analyze Train detentions.
Engineering: Analyze track recorder readings to prevent rail fractures and fastening failures & improve track maintenance.
Electrical & Mechanical: analyze driver’s technique for optimum energy utilization & speed by analyzing the log , analyzing failure data, OHE defects by OHE recording car.

4. Expert Systems-rule based, frame based, fuzzy, fuzzy neural, neuro fuzzy (2 hours)

Applications: Operating :train control, rake allocation, platform allocation, smalls
transport. Train Delay prediction for passenger information, Train
shunting
Electrical: automatic driving, capacitor switching
Engineering: layout of new lines
Signal & Telecom: Optimization of tower locations

5. Machine learning: (one hour)

Applications: Technical departments :Maintenance and inspection.

6. Deep Learning &Pattern Recognition: Conventional neural networks, computer vision methods: (one hour)

Applications: Failure detection, Diagnosis and prediction
a. Object Detection: Identifying cracks on tracks and obstructions on level crossings.

7. Evolutionary Computing (1hr)

a. Genetic Algorithm
b. Particle swarm optimization
Applications: Traffic planning and management: strategic and tactical planning,
Technical: maintenance planning

8. Operations Research and scheduling: dynamic programming and reinforced learning

Applications: Operating: scheduling empty freight trains, scheduling trains in case of accident(one hour)

9. Natural Language processing and speech recognition (one hour):applying NLP to non- structured data(one hour)

Applications: chatbots by IRCTC, Analysis of main failure records, maintenance records

10. Autonomous systems : (half hour)

a. Autonomous Driving using Computer vision and Neural networks.

What is the assessment process?

The assessment process is mainly online conducted through a multiple choice based assessment through assessment portal. The duration of a typical assessment is between 60 – 90 minutes where student attempts the test on laptop/PC in proctored mode. You need to score 60% to qualify the assessment.

Results are announced within a week of assessment schedule and certificates are sent in pdf format within 7-15 days of results announcement.

What if I do not qualify the assessment of an online course?

We shall be giving you two free attempts to qualify the assessment. Beyond two attempts you shall have to pay $50 per attempt to take the assessment again.

What if I have queries after I complete this online course?

Your access to the Support Team is for one year from purchase of course and will be available between 11AM to 9PM Monday to Friday. The team will help you in resolving queries, during and after the course.

How soon after Signing up would I get access to the Learning Content?

Post-enrolment of course, the LMS access will be provided to you in 04 hours and will be available for a year. You will be able to access the complete set of previous class recordings, PPTs, PDFs, assignments. Moreover, access to our support team will be granted instantly as well.
