Signals, points, and level crossings are the layer that keeps trains a safe distance apart, routes them through junctions correctly, and protects road traffic where rail and road cross. Understanding how these pieces work — and the terminology signalers use to talk about them — is the entry point into almost every other railway operations, safety, or signaling role.

An online, proctored assessment (60–90 minutes, multiple choice) with a minimum passing score of 60%. You get two free attempts; further attempts cost USD 50 each.
